The Vision
West Michigan is very fortunate to have one of the best trail networks in the nation. With the Fred Meijer White Pine Trail running directly through our Township, Plainfield citizens have learned first-hand the benefits and enjoyment of non-motorized trails.
Citizens for Plainfield Township Trails is a grassroots group of individuals that began in response to the 2015 Plainfield Township Parks & Recreation Citizen Survey. The citizens of Plainfield Township spoke loud and clear: we want more trails!
We are working to promote development of potentially 30 miles of non-motorized trails connecting neighborhoods, schools, parks, and downtown areas of Plainfield Township, highlighted by key connections to the White Pine Trail.
In order for our vision to become a reality, Plainfield Township residents approved a trails millage on August 2, 2016.
